Your child is now a senior, and it’s time to think about the photographic memories that will appear in their high school yearbooks. Most of the time, neither you nor your student has control over what will appear in the album. You do, however, have a choice about the photos you’ll include in the graduation announcements.
Most high schools provide a photographer that comes in and takes a few cap and gown shots from which you can select the one you would like to appear in your yearbook. There are, however, some schools that have begun allowing students to submit senior photos from another photographer. It doesn’t matter if you are given the choice of the school photographer or one of your own choices, you should still hire a professional photographer to take some photos of your graduating senior. A good photographer that specializes in senior photos will meet with you and your child. You will discuss your child’s interest, and those will be taken into consideration during the photo shoot.
These photo shoots will generally run the course of two hours. Your child will be allowed to make wardrobe changes, sometimes giving up to six different options. You will want to consider casual attire in a relaxed setting. Some more elegant shots in a classic setting are also usually taken. These options allow for a wide choice of photos to choose from.
If your child participated in an athletic extra-curricular activity, they will most likely want a few photographs in their athletic uniform. Often times, an outdoor setting will be used for these types of shots. My son was a baseball player and his senior photos were taken on a baseball diamond. We then moved back to the studio for the remaining session.
Naturally, you will want to remember your student in their cap and gown. Make sure your professional photographer has a selection of backgrounds to choose from to accentuate your child’s school colors. Some local photographers invest in backgrounds that display the names of the local schools. With technological advances, it can also be added in the editing phase.
Despite your child’s objections, you will probably want some shots in their “Sunday best.” These classic photos can be taken indoors, or outdoors, in an elegant setting. But don’t forget that your child is also their own individual. Allow the photographer to capture your child in some of their everyday attire, because that allows your child to express their own individuality.
If you are concerned about how the school will handle the senior photos for your child’s high school yearbooks, then call the school and speak with an administrator. Give the school photographer a chance, but if you aren’t pleased with the photos taken, don’t settle. Contact the instructor in charge of the yearbook production and ask if you can submit your own photo for your child. It certainly can’t hurt.

If you’re like most people, you probably love to take photos. However, organizing and storing them in a neat, efficient manner can often be a lot less enjoyable. When photos are neatly organized, they are easy to look at and enjoy. It’s also important to find an effective storage method that will keep your photos clean and safe. If your photo collection is currently out of control, here are some easy tips that will help you whip them into shape in just two hours.
Do a Quick “Power Sort”
Have you ever decided to sort your photos, only to find yourself simply reminiscing over them several hours later? Although browsing through old photos can be a lot of fun, it’s better to take a more disciplined approach if you want to get a lot accomplished in a short amount of time.
Start by deciding upon a basic sorting strategy. For example, you might want to sort photos by date, or perhaps by subject matter. During the initial sorting process, it’s best not to make your sorting categories too complicated. For instance, perhaps your basic categories might consist of “vacation,” “wedding,” “baby,” and “school” photos.
Allow yourself a half hour to quickly sort all your loose photos into your categories. If you have some photos that are already stored in albums, set these aside for now. After all, if you start taking photos out of albums, you’re only going to make your job more difficult and time-consuming.
Photo Boxes or Albums?
Once you’ve completed your initial photo sorting process, you’ll have a much better idea how many photos of each type you have. Specially designed photo boxes can be a great solution when you have large quantities of photos. Although you might ultimately decide to put some of the photos into specialized albums, getting them organized into photo boxes can be a great first step. In the case of smaller photo collections or photos that you like to look at frequently, an album could be a better solution.
If you’re lucky, you might find that you already have some empty photo boxes or albums just sitting around the house. If this is the case, spend the next hour placing your photos in these empty boxes and albums. Be sure to label them carefully, even if you ultimately plan to re-arrange them later.
If you find that you don’t have any photo boxes or albums that you can use, don’t despair. First, make a list of the number of boxes or albums you think you might need. Put these items on your shopping list, and get them the next time you’re at your neighborhood store. Then, use plain cardboard boxes, zip-top plastic bags or other containers to temporarily store your sorted photos. Be sure to label them carefully.
If you want to get your photos organized in the least amount of time, it’s important to keep things simple. A quick “power sort” combined with a temporary storage solution can definitely help you achieve your organizational goals quickly. Then, whenever you have some time to spare, you can go back and fine-tune your albums and photo boxes.

Most people would be happy to make some additional income, especially with the current economic climate the way it is. One very lucrative and effective way to earn some extra cash is to make money selling photos. You don’t have to be a professional photographer to start making an income from selling your photos, and the beauty of this is that you do all of this online by uploading your pictures to stock picture websites.
These sites are very easy to join and the process of uploading your photos is also simple. Your photos are displayed on the site and anybody can login to view them. If they see one of your pictures they like they make a payment and can download it, and you get paid too. The potential to make money selling photos is huge, and there are many resources available to help you do just that.
But the process of selling your photos online starts before you pick up a camera and begin taking pictures. You need to know what pictures are selling well and what you are likely to make money with. If you spend hours or days taking pictures of subjects that do not sell well then no matter how good the picture is, you would have wasted your time and will not be earning much money from it.
Most sites have some kind of tracking or facility where you can see what the searchers (buyers) are looking for. See what the top searches are and take a look at the pictures to see the kind of quality you are up against. This will also give you a clearer picture of what to take as you don’t want to be replicating pictures that are already available, again this will lessen your chances of making some decent money.
Seasonal photos are always popular when the time comes around so these are the kind of things that are good to remember when planning to make money selling photos. Backgrounds are always a popular search, whether it be a natural background or an abstract picture, this leaves a lot of room for the imagination to run wild and get creative. Again, it is always good to look at the other pictures on the site in the category you want to take photos of to ensure you get something that is original and will stand out from the crowd. This is what is going to earn you the most money.
The photography is just ones side of this business, and if you really want to make this a successful venture for you then you need to learn the ‘do’s and the don’ts’ so you know the common mistakes to try and avoid. Learn from an expert first, don’t learn the hard way when all the information you need to be a success in this business is available to you to study. This can be an incredible opportunity for anyone, so it is worth learning how to maximize your earning potential before you begin.
With the ability to be able to work from home and dictate your own hours, this is a very alluring business opportunity that I’m sure many people would love to make a go of. There are training resources available that can give you the head start you need.

Sharing photos has become a lot more popular now that every cell phone not only seems to have a camera, but also easily connects to the internet. The key is choosing the right platform in which to share them. For some people social media sites are a better option, whereas others prefer sites that are dedicated to photo sharing. The key is figuring out what method will be the best fit for your needs. Here is a quick look at the pros and cons of using social media sites as well as photo sharing sites for all of your photo sharing needs.
First up is social media sites. There are several benefits to choosing to use a social media site for all of your photo sharing needs. The first is that it is easier to secure the photos and ensure that only people who you want to see them can have access to them. Another benefit is that if you are already using your social media site to connect with all of your friends and family, then hosting the photo on that site can be much more convenient. Additionally, you don’t have to actually tell anyone that you have uploaded new photos. This information will be added to your feed automatically, which means less hassle for you.
Now let’s take a look at photo sharing sites. There are a variety of these types of sites available. The most notable of these is probably Flickr. The best part is that it is easy to make sure that everyone can see your photos, which is a huge benefit if you are a professional photographer. Another benefit is that Flickr is all over the internet. It has been syndicated with a wide variety of other websites, which means two things. First, you could see your photo anywhere online if you want. If not you can set restrictions that will keep it out of the API feed. The second benefit is that because Flickr is so dominant on the photo sharing scene, there is little change that it will be going anywhere. This means that your photos will safe and secure for a long time to come.
As you can see, there are a variety of benefits to using both social networking sites, such as Facebook, or dedicated photo sharing sites like Flickr. While you can definitely use both, in most cases, one option will likely be much more effective than the other. For example, if you are uploading photos specifically to share with your friends then a common social networking site is probably the easiest to use. However, if you and your friends and family are all on different social networking sites, then a central photo sharing site, like Flickr, is likely the best option.
There are a wide variety of scenarios that could make one option better than the other, it all comes down your unique situation and purpose. Either way, the most important thing to remember is that there is no single best way to share photos. In many cases, using a combination of techniques will prove to be most effective in the long run.
Many people love the idea of becoming models. It is nice to think of making money just posing for photos, and the money from modeling can be quite a lot, if you are one of the chosen few.
Although different types of models, including commercial, high fashion, and glamour models might want to include a slightly different mix of pictures, there are some things that are pretty much standard when it comes to the requirements.
Whether you are male or female, an adult, teen, or preteen, keep these things in mind when deciding “What do I need in a model portfolio?”
Types of Photos
First of all, regardless of the agency you are applying to, be it Ford, Elite, or IMG, pretty much everyone is going to want to see at least one close up shot created outdoors with little or no make up and no flash, one full body shot wearing a swimsuit or other form fitting outfit that shows off your body, and at least one head shot. It is a good idea to have one head shot with you facing forward and one profile shot.
You also might want to include at least one artistic (artsy) shot for dramatic effect. These are the standard poses, but it is a good idea to include a wide variety of different poses to showcase your abilities.
Image Quality – Only Include Your Best
The most important thing when it comes to choosing the photos for your portfolio is the quality of the photos. You should go to a good professional photographer who is familiar with modeling. You don’t want to use snapshots or photos from your phone as these are not of good quality, even if you think you look great in that particular shot.
Do your poses for photographers who know what they are doing so they can make you look your best and give you high quality images to use. You only want to use the best shots that are taken of you.
How Many Pictures?
When deciding “what do I need in a model portfolio?”, you also want to keep in mind that quality is much more important than quantity. Including too many pictures can be just as bad as including too few, so you will want to keep the numbers somewhere between about eight and twenty different photos, each of them showcasing something different to make it clear the range of work you have undertaken (or could take on).
Composite Cards
These are usually 6″ by 9″ and include a good headshot on the front and several poses on the back along with your stats. Referred to as comp cards, these are really good to have because agents can keep them on hand for future reference.
Practice Before You Shoot
Look through fashion magazines or online modeling sites to find pose ideas and then practice in the mirror everyday until you have a good arsenal of looks before going to a photo shoot. The more you practice, the more natural you will appear in front of the camera.
With the availability of high-quality, low-cost digital cameras on the market these days, many people are finding themselves becoming avid photographers with lots of photos to share with family and friends, or even the world at large. For the novice with a few vacation shots to the serious professional, there are web hosting sites that cater to everyone’s photographic storage needs.
For those with a limited amount of photographs that they would like to post without having to individually email large photo files, there are free photo hosting sites like Photobucket that will host a number of photographs for free and that have easy to use features for the less-than-computer-literate among us (like the grandmother who just wants to post family pics, for instance). There are limitations in reliability, available functions and features and possible limitations on the amount of visitors or how many pages of photos you can have, but for many, free photo-hosting is an adequate solution.
For the slightly more serious photography enthusiast, a shared hosting plan may be the answer. With shared hosting, you will have better reliability and domain hosting that allows you to use your own domain name and all at a very affordable price. The various packages offer different amounts of bandwidth, disk space, processing speed and other services like content management systems and tech support. There may be limitations on the configuration and it is important for the customer to choose a plan that can grow in bandwidth if the traffic demands it, but shared hosting offers a low cost solution for the avid photographer.
For the professional, it may be necessary to purchase a dedicated web hosting plan that can offer all the features required to create a professional showcase to sell the work. The professional will need flexibility and unlimited space for storing photographs as well as editing capabilities and fast loading and navigation capabilities.
From free hosting to dedicated server domain hosting there are web-based photo hosting systems that can meet any photographer’s requirements. The digital revolution has created a whole new dimension in modern photography and the web is playing a big part in its realization.
I’m 19 and from Devon, England. I like computers, surfing, music, and television though I’m not quite sure what to do with my life. I finished college last year, read every day and spend too much time on the internet. It’s obvious swimsuit models have a massive worldwide appeal, and there is a huge demand for swimsuit model videos and photos. Specifically those produced by professional photographers, on exotic locations, and with gorgeous young rising star and sexy celebrity models. Simply seeing, or hearing, the words “swimsuit model” conjures up sensual and exciting mind images and emotions, especially for adult males of all ages. So, it’s not surprising that the term “swimsuit model” is currently searched for over 400,000 times each month in one of the major search engines.
One of the great things about looking at pictures of swimsuit models, and swimsuit model videos, is that they’re not pornographic. Exciting but tasteful, stimulating but not sleazy. Virtually everyone knows of Sports Illustrated. Their beautiful, professional publication is sold all over the world, and not shamefully tucked away in the adult magazine section.
Now, with the rise of the internet and lightning fast broadband connections, there has been an explosion in the number of online videos, including swimsuit model videos. Video adds a whole new dimension of viewing pleasure with the addition of high quality audio and special effects.
For many young women who aspire to be models, swimsuit modelling adds a whole new field of possibilities, where the height requirements may not be as tough as they are for runway models. Swimsuit models are in high demand for magazine editorials, catalogs, advertisements, swimsuit calendars, and billboards. Live event swimsuit modeling is also on the increase. Runway models usually have a body type that is quite different to that of swimsuit models e.g. very thin with long legs and a special style of “working the catwalk” that is unique.
The gorgeous young women we see in swimsuit model videos and photographs deserve the appreciation they get. After all, it’s been said they’re “living works of art” for not only do they need great body tone and physique, a pretty face, lovely curves and healthy hair, but they also need to have the x-factor. That “special something” that “seduces” the camera, and has us all falling in love too. To maintain their looks and tone, often requires a lot of self discipline, especially leading up to a major swimsuit model video or photo shoot. In some ways swimsuit models are great “role models” to young women in that they look like real women, full of vitality and health, not like many catwalk models who look well underweight. So, swimsuit models, we say thank you, and we appreciate all that you do!

Before and after breast enlargement pictures on the internet are often one of the first manners in which you might research the possible results of breast augmentation. Viewing photos of other women with similar body types is often inspiring in terms of how breast implants might look like you. What is the best way to determine how breast implants will look like on you?
There are hundreds of websites that have before and after breast augmentation photos. Some sites are fairly basic, offering a single page of a few different patients who have undergone breast augmentation. Other websites are more sophisticated, offering hundreds of before and after photos while offering you the option of focusing your search on women with similar breast enlargements. For example, some of these websites offer a searchable database that allows you to find pictures of women who have had an A cup to C cup breast augmentation. It identifies their breast implant size and more.
If you are considering breast augmentation this is a good way to start the process for at least two reasons. The first, and perhaps most important, is to research the work of various plastic surgeons. As an invasive surgery, you will definitely want to see the work of your plastic surgeon before you undergo the procedure. Another important reason is pure motivation. By finding before and after photos of other women you can begin to see how different breast implant sizes will look in terms of increasing their breast size.
But will you look like these photos that you find on the internet? If you are just beginning to research breast augmentation one of the most important things for you to know is that differing breast implant sizes will often look different on your body versus the woman’s body on the internet. While you might find a photo of a woman with a similar breast enlargement, similar body type, similar weight and height, the same breast implant size (such as 350cc, or 500cc) may very well look different on you.
The photo on the internet simply does not tell you the whole story. What is her exact height? What is her breast width? What is her age? Was the breast implant placed over or under the muscle?
You should understand photos on the internet for what they are which is purely inspiration. The best way for you to preview how you might look like with breast implants is through the use of breast implant sizers. By using a breast implant sizing system you can not only see what you will look like with various breast implant sizes, but you can actually see and feel the difference on your own body.
The value of breast implant sizers is that they give you a three dimensional preview of breast augmentation on your own body. Before and after photos give a two dimensional view and usually just of the breasts. How can you make a sound decision based upon this limited view? With sizers you can stand in front of a mirror to see what you look like in all of your favorite clothing. With the best sizing systems, you can literally go out shopping for your new blouses and dresses because the sizers look entirely natural on your body.
The other value of sizers is that they address the important psychological impacts of breast augmentation. Far too many women choose a smaller breast implant size because they fear the social impact of their new breast size. By wearing sizers in front of family and friends as well as out in public, you can work through the pscyhological impacts before your breast augmentation. Women often report that wearing the sizers helps them realize that the breast size choice, whether a C cup or D cup, really is entirely their own choice for personal aesthetics. The social impacts are more limited than they imagined before.
Breast implant sizing systems are available from about forty dollars to one hundred dollars. It is one of the smallest costs in the breast augmentation process, but one of the most important.
Avoid the most common mistake in breast enlargement by choosing the right size of breast implants the first time with the Purlz Breast Sizing System.
